Product description
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in small amounts in the Cannabis sativa plant. It is often called the "mother cannabinoid" because it is the biochemical precursor from which other major cannabinoids-such as THC and CBD-are synthesized during plant growth.
CBG has attracted growing interest for its potential benefits, including anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, neuroprotective, and appetite-stimulating properties. Unlike THC, CBG does not produce a "high", making it appealing for wellness and therapeutic applications

Product Application
- Facial serums and creams
- Anti-aging skincare products
- Capsules and softgels
- Functional foods and beverages
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid that exerts its effects through a multi-target mechanism of action. It weakly interacts with CB1 receptors and shows moderate affinity for CB2 receptors, contributing to anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. In addition, CBG acts as an α2-adrenergic receptor agonist and modulates transient receptor potential (TRP) channels (including TRPV1, TRPV2, TRPA1, and TRPM8), thereby influencing pain perception, inflammation, and neuronal signaling. CBG also activates PPAR-γ and inhibits endocannabinoid degradation, enhancing endogenous cannabinoid tone and collectively resulting in anti-inflammatory, analgesic, neuroprotective, and antimicrobial activities.

Formulation Note
Cosmetic Formulations
Suitable for oil-based systems, emulsions, and encapsulated delivery forms. CBG is lipophilic and is typically incorporated into the oil phase; it works synergistically with soothing and antioxidant ingredients such as tocopherol (vitamin E), bisabolol, and ceramides. The typical usage level of CBG in cosmetic formulations is: 0.05% – 0.5%, depending on formulation type, skin sensitivity, and desired efficacy.
Dietary Supplement Formulations
Ideal for softgels, oil suspensions, tinctures, and lipid-based capsules. Due to its fat-soluble nature, CBG is commonly formulated with carrier oils such as MCT oil or hemp seed oil to enhance bioavailability. For dietary supplement formulations, CBG is commonly used within the following range in finished products: 5 – 25 mg per day, depending on product format and target market. The final dosage should comply with applicable local food and dietary supplement regulations.
