Application

Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide containing gamma-amide bond and sulfyl group, composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. It is widely present in human and animal liver, blood, yeast and wheat germ, and a small amount of vegetable and other plant tissues. Glutathione Powder 99% helps maintain normal immune system function, is an important antioxidant in the body, helps cells fight free radical damage, protects cells from oxidative stress, and has integrated detoxification effects. The thiol group on cysteine is the active group of glutathione (so glutathione is often abbreviated as G-SH), which is easy to combine with some drugs (such as paracetamol) and toxins (such as free radicals, iodoacetic acid, mustard gas, lead, mercury, arsenic and other heavy metals), and has an integrated detoxification effect. Therefore, glutathione (especially glutathione in liver cells) can participate in biological transformation, thereby transforming harmful poisons in the body into harmless substances and excreting out of the body.

Glutathione comes in two forms: reduced (GSH) and oxidized (GSSG). Among them, reduced glutathione is the active form, which occupies the largest proportion under physiological conditions, about 95%, and has a high free radical clearance rate. Oxidized glutathione can help reduce glutathione scavenging free radicals. This synergistic effect is related to the ratio of GSH and GSSG, when the ratio of GSH and GSSG is 100:1, the free radical clearance rate is the highest. Glutathione reductase can catalyze tautomerism between the two types.
