Application

Resveratrol is a non-flavonoid polyphenol compound, which is a plant defense hormone produced by plants (mainly seed plants) when they encounter adverse conditions such as fungal infection and ultraviolet radiation, and plays a protective role in the plant itself. Resveratrol and its derivatives are mainly found in at least 72 species of plants belonging to 21 families and 31 genera such as Vitis, Polygonum, peanut and veratrum, including common medicinal plants such as knotcane, cassia and mulberry, as well as crops such as grapes and peanuts. At present, the main sources of natural resveratrol are knotweed and grapes.

Resveratrol is also listed as "One of the 100 most effective anti-aging substances" by the American Anti-Aging Canon. It is easily absorbed by mouth and excreted in urine and stool after metabolism.
