Application
Human milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) belongs to oligosaccharides, which refers to a class of oligomeric carbohydrates that are linked by 3 to 10 monosaccharide units through glycosidic bonds to form straight chains or branched chains. Its molecular formula can be generally expressed as (C6H10O5) n, n is 3 ~ 10. The sweetness of HMOs is generally only 30% to 60% of sucrose, and it is difficult to be digested and absorbed by the intestine.
HMOs has a variety of prebiotic oligosaccharides and plays an important role in the growth and development of infants and young children. At present, the research community focuses on the following components: 2' -fucosyllactose (2'-FL), 3-fucosyllactose (3'-FL), lactose n-neotetrasaccharide (LNnT), lactose n-tetrasaccharide (LNT), 6' -sialate lactose (6'-SL) and 3' -sialate lactose (3'-SL), etc.What we produce is Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs, 3'-Focusllactose).
Structure

3'-Fucosyllactose (3'-FL) is an isomer of 2'-FL and contains limited levels of D-lactose, L-fucose, d-galactose, and D-glucose. It is also abundant in breast milk, and is the only HMO whose content increases steadily in lactation. A large number of studies have shown that 3-FL is believed to reduce the risk of intestinal microbiota imbalance caused by harmful bacteria. In addition, it can selectively stimulate the growth of beneficial bifidobacteria.
At present, 3'-FL has also obtained the "Generally Recognized as safe" (GRAS) certification of the USFDA and the approval of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Novel Food (NF)certification, and has broad application prospects.
It can:

Regulate the function of immune cells, enhance the immune system's resistance, and thus enhance the body's immune function to pathogenic microorganisms and foreign bodies;

3'-Fucosyllactose is produced by microbial fermentation of transgenic E. Coli strains. It is used as ingredients in first-stage infant formula (0-1 years), second-stage infant formula (6 month-1 years), special dietary infant formula, and infant formula supplements.
