Usage:
N-octyltriethoaysilane (N308) can be used as a surface modifier to generate hydrophobicity (e.g. on concrete, glass, inorganic pigment, or mineral fillers). When diluted with an appropriate solvent, it can be used in the formulation of water repellent products. Upon proper application, the formulated product will penetrate and provide water repellency by chemically reacting with the cementitious substrate. Treated substrates are hydrophobic and retain their original appearance.
Storage: Preserve in tightly closed containers, protected from light and stored in cool, dry place.

Surface Treatment & Coupling Agent
Used for the surface modification of inorganic fillers, pigments, glass, silica, and mineral substrates. It improves surface hydrophobicity, filler dispersion, interfacial adhesion, and compatibility between inorganic materials and organic polymer systems.

Compatibility
Generally compatible with non-polar and moderately polar organic polymer systems, particularly polyolefins, rubbers, elastomers, hydrocarbon resins, and hydrophobic coatings. It can also be used to improve the compatibility and dispersion of inorganic fillers in organic matrices.
